**********
Daddy and I came to this world old friends,
Mommy was a stranger, but I was happy to meet her.
Daddy was the Sun, Mommy the Half Moon
Waning…waxing, but never full.
Wherever she goes, I worry, I follow…
What ever she knows, I challenge or swallow.
Half Moon light, I was blinded by her shine,
while chasing her shadow.
Her tether, my rope…
forge a bonded knot
an indelible anchor
I call love.
I remember the smooth gloss of her
polished pearl white nails,
and the way she said I love you
with a long hug good bye…
Distant but close, she is the orb
in my orbit…
that bends the bridge
but never burns it.
Her tether, my rope…
forge a bonded knot
an indelible anchor
I call love.
She is the Half Moon Mother
I never knew I needed,
but always knew I wanted.
She is the shine and the shadow.
The lost and the found,
the ups and the downs
the calm and the storm.
the cold and the warm.
Her tether, my rope…
forge a bonded knot
an indelible anchor
I call love.

A haunting feeling, a delicate balance, but perhaps a dream for more closeness. Sublime.
