An Interview for a Dream Job
*******************************
INTERVIEWER: So Ms.Wichman what brings you here today?
ME: I need to find my dream job.
INTERVIEWER: Dream job. And what would that be?
ME: Oh any dream will do.
INTERVIEWER: So you want us to choose for you?
ME: I trust you.
INTERVIEWER: Well that is all well and good but leaves the field wide open.
ME: Not that open. There are a lot of dream jobs that are now nightmares.
INTERVIEWER: I see, well would you be open to anything you’ve done in the past.
ME: Been there, done that. I would like to fulfIll some new dreams now.
INTERVIEWER: Well have you prepared a list of possibilitIes?
ME: No not really.
INTERVIEWER: Hmm, well then perhaps I will just read off a few ideas you tell me if anything strikes your fancy.
ME: Sounds good.
INTERVIEWER: Accountant?
ME: Sure, albeit I can’t really count that well.
INTERVIEWER: British sign language interpreter?
ME: Is that really a thing? I thought we spoke the same language.
INTERVIEWER: Personal Chef?
ME: Well maybe, if they remove all of their smoke alarms that is a possibility.
INTERVIEWER: I have an idea why don’t you tell me in detail what you would like your typical work day to look like.
ME: Ok sure. Well I would love to start around 9 or 10, linger over some really well made coffee. Chat with other lovely co-workers, then dive into something really creative or artistic for a few hours, getting lost in the creative process and coming up with new ideas or really satisfying outcomes. Then a nice long leisurely lunch, preferably outside or in an aesthetically pleasing environment. Returning for a short afternoon of organizing my things and setting up for the next day, which could include travel to exciting and quaint locations. Not too often but often enough to change up the scenery. I’d love it if no two days were a like and many happy and serendipitous surprises occur along the way. Do you have any jobs like that on the list?
INTERVIEWER: I’m gonna have to make a few calls, but you never know an Opportunity just may come knocking.
ME: Fingers crossed.

Hmmm. You didn’t talk up that Masked Baker career. Croissants are a rising field.
