Of Destiny and Dreams By Christine Wichman c. 2015
There once was a girl…a girl we shall call, umm say…Tina, yes Tina. Tina was born to a beautiful young couple. They were not quite married yet when Tina chose them for her parents, but that was of no matter. Perhaps we need to start this story just a smidge before her birth…You see Tina had been a Beatles fan in the Summer of 1964, a Paul lover…and on the eve of one of the Beatles biggest concerts there was a large crowd gathered outside their hotel. Tina was in the crowd. She was what you would call a tween and a bit prone to hysteria. So as soon as there was a sighting on the balcony or what appeared to be an actual Beatle, she and the crowd went mad. So mad in fact that the massive pack of girls behind young Tina rushed forward with such a force they knocked her to the ground. It was as if the phenomena of liquefaction were taking place. Tina felt the ground shake, split and swallow her up as the rush of bodies trampled her.

When Tina opened her eyes, she was not in a hospital. She was not at home. She was in a place of light and dreaming.
“Where am I?” she wondered
“Do not worry.” said a familiar voice soft and masculine with a soothing lilt, “this is only temporary we shall have you back there in no time at all.”
Suddenly as if someone had shot her with a rush of adreneline and truth, Tina knew everything. Every absolute thing all at once. The relief was immeasurable and the peace astounding.
All she could bare now was a smile and submission to the flow, the flow of destiny and dreams.
“Is this the destination of my dreams?”
“That and beyond,” whispered the voice. “We’ll meet on edges soon.” reassured the voice.
Tina knew that meant plans were being made for her return. Tina knew everything would be her choice. She had been to the edge before.

“I will miss them. I hope they are not missing me too much.” thought Tina
“They will think of you when they sit in the field of Sunflowers and look to the moon. You will see them again, on another edge in another time beyond before. Players play on, scene to scene, and play to play. It is time to assume a new role and join a new cast of players now.”
Thoughts turned to slow emotion and suddenly she could feel her memories melting away into the clouds and galaxies across the universe.

At Land’s End Tina met with the voice, and there they held a brief meeting in time.
The voice was clear and resolute, clarifying what was to come next.
“You could always remain here, you have been ready for a long time now, but I see you continue to go back, as a light and a teacher.”
“I am not tired of teaching yet. I am sure there will come a day. I do miss something here, on this side, deeply…but my memories are already gone and I cannot quite remember what or who it is, that can hold me here now.”
“Yes there are parts of your soul awaiting you …but their time here is not as long as your time down there, so it will be but a moment before they see you again.”
The voice paused, then continued…
“You have chosen some tough lessons this time, are you sure you are up for it?”
“I am.”
“Your parents will be surprised to meet someone like you.” the voice laughed softly.
“I’m sure they will…I’m going to try not to get lost in meaningless trials and tribulations this time. I plan to kiss the sunlight and sing to the sky, as much as possible.”
“I am sure you will.”
Tina looked down over the edge, “I’m ready now…to slip into darkness…Take my mind beyond the dreams!”
With that, a gentle flutter of wind pushed Tina from the cliff of clouds and over the edge into the mysterious space before beginning all over again…

She found herself in a hospital in Palo Alto, California…on a warm Monday afternoon, the 24th day of August in the year 1964. Strangely enough the Beatles were also in California that day, lounging poolside in Bel Air…she looked up to meet her new Mother, a young blonde and her Father a very talented Musician with a resonate voice. “Look at her eyes,” they said, “She is looking at us like she’s been here before.”
