Dark Angel
Ravished by rejection,
The Raven Queen flew away,
drowning her sorrows
in an ocean grey…
Her light so bright, enough to dim
the blackest night,
her heart so pure, enough to keep
tail feathers aflight…
His soul was weary when he heard
of her demise… his only bird,
how could he lose her like this?
What he would give for one last kiss…
Dark star, I see you in the morning,
Dark star, a’ sleeping next to me.
Dark star, let the memory of the evening
Be the first thing that you think of
When you open up your smile and see me…
Brightly shone through the veils
a golden chord between two souls,
she knew his love was not yet done,
he would always be her only one.
She closed her eyes for a moment in time,
dreaming all the while,
of love and fate and the time she’d wait
to see her lovers smile.
A Sleeping Queen dying for a kiss,
A Wandering King searching truth that’s his,
Will what’s lost be found? Or lost again?
They held a lavish funeral for the Raven
A King most loved was he, spoke bird after bird
They talked of how he missed the Queen,
When a Dark Angel was suddenly heard
whispering words of wisdom it seemed…
Hush now don’t worry, I have him here with me.
We are not gone forever, we’ll be back again you’ll see.
What is lost cannot be forgotten,
when love exists between…
Dark star, I see you in the morning,
Dark star, a’ sleeping next to me.
