Of Wings and Whimsy

Don’t lose your sparkle
Don’t lose your shine
within this misty circle of time
Life is fleeting, translucent at best
Only present moments can last

Between capricious whims and
Loquacious spiels, many webs are spun
It’s easy to get tangled up
in more than one

Open your heart
Open your wings
Only an open mind
can lead to new things

Beyond this fragile illusion
lie answers to the confusion
An eternal existence,
you may have seen in a glimpse

*We are quicksilver, a fleeting shadow,
a distant sound…
our home has no boundaries
beyond which we cannot pass.
We live in music, in a flash of color…
we live on the wind and in the sparkle of a star!*

Allow that to sink in,
everything goes round and round
and back again
a cyclical, circular, celestial spin.

Enjoy the ride, take a lesson or two
then back to the ethers to begin anew
Weep not for the passing or the past,
Hold only to the love that lasts and lasts.
