Remember a day before today
**************************************
This topic reminds me of the very first Haiku I wrote in seventh grade:
The sun is rising,
say goodbye to yesterday
tomorrow is here.
****************************************
That haiku reminds me of the first words I use to begin a lot of my stories…instead of “Once upon a time”, I begin with “In the time beyond before”, it soothes me, lulls me, leads me into an altered state of remembrance, a time that is both vague and true, real and unreal. Do you remember a day before today? A day that resonates for you? An authentic moment, perhaps your most authentic moment when you truly felt alive? Every cell in your body buzzing kind of alive?
Words, music, art, nature, anything that creates a higher energy. Those moments where everything flows into a concinnity of perfect harmony. When things align and conspire and propel you forth with courage and conviction. Well that is how I feel today. I feel alive, happy, filled with truth. I know there are higher energies at play, I know all will be well. So I am choosing this moment to be alive, to be grateful, to appreciate every little blessing and assurance of what is genuinely true.

Such a beautiful, wise sonnet. A perfect mantra, really.
And I remember those moments when I truly felt most alive, with every cell of my body buzzing – it was always in the mosh pit – lol! Alas, my body dictates otherwise now, so I will say the place that brings me the most peace is the ocean, and the place that calls to me with a deep-seated longing is, of course, Scotland.
I love that photo (oh, and absolutely love how you start those stories, such soothing words that instantly transport me out of the now and into a world of dreamy possibilities). zo
