I asked the Lady of the Stars why so many friends are fair weathered…
“Dear child” she said, “don’t you know, misfortune tests the sincerity of friends, that is why you must choose wisely who you allow to stay in your circle.”
I nodded my head and pondered. In these latter years I have become so fortunate with souls in my life who say what they mean and do what they say. I feel truly blessed to have them.
“This is the experience of a lifetime,” I reminded myself. “We only live once, best to have quality over quantity when it comes to friends I think.”
Suddenly a choir of Angels surrounded the Lady of Stars. They said, “Remember who you are. Never let anyone trick you with rules, paperwork or fences. Every soul is free. Every soul has a right to exist and live their own truth.”
Again I nodded and pondered. I knew they were right, but this planet gets trickier everyday. Every day we trap ourselves with other people’s thoughts and beliefs. Every day we lose little pieces of our heart. Every day we close our eyes to suffering and pain. It’s just too much. It’s all too much.
The brightest Angel began to whisper something about Hope. I stepped in a little closer but still could not hear what she was saying. “ The whose its and whats its and whatchamacallit’s all lead to the blah de blah de blah blahs…”
I figured it was not my time to learn that lesson, so I turned my pillow over and drifted back to sleep.
