Moon Daddy

*It is the 17th Anniversary of my Father’s passing. So I will repost this poem for him.

Moon Daddy

In the glow of a pink shining moon

I am reminded of his magic and his tune

Moon Daddy dancing on a tropical breeze

Singing to the tops of the rainforest trees

Flute whistling through the leaves

Moon Daddy’s spirit in the music of the night

Moon Daddy’s spell weaving sparks of light

Through his children there moves a thread that has no end,

connecting us all with the rhythmic beat of his heart…

If I could turn back time, I’d reset the needle to the start,

and listen to your sweet song again and again.
