A Balmy New York City Night
At the Newly revived Playboy Club
April 1, 2019…

“What’s your pleasure?” the Roberto Cavalli Bunny-eared cocktail waitress, set down two napkins at the round high table and waited for an answer.
“Two Bunny Things please. They have rum in them right?” Becky and Liz were in high spirits tonight, so they wanted only the best the New Playboy Club had to offer.
“Sure do,” smiled Lexi, their stunning blonde server, “this your first time to the club?”

“Can you tell?” Liz blushed, “this is our first time to New York City, we’re from Utah.”
“No kidding, I’m from Provo.” Lexi’s eyes lit up.
“Wow so are we,” Becky was surprised.
“Small world. I just moved here a month ago and needed a job to pay the bills while I go to Julliard.”
“Wow so you’re a singer or dancer or something?”
“I’m a singer, dancer and actress.” Lexi beamed.
“You any good?” Liz teased.
“Well, modesty is my best quality,” Lexi teased back.

“You look like you would be great, with those legs, you have dancer written all over you.” Becky complimented.

“Thanks, wait till you see my Bunny Dip! I just perfected it. Let me get those drinks then I’ll show you.”

“What’s a Bunny dip?” Liz whispered to Becky.

“It’s the famous move Playboy bunnies do while serving, I think they have to bend backward, knees together as they lean down to place the drinks.”

“Wow, I would fall over for sure.” Liz giggled.
“Yeah you would.”

Lexi was back in a flash with a tray of two beautiful tall crystal cut glasses filled with hot pink and tropical orange colors, cherries and orange slices on top.

“Okay ladies here you go,” Lexi fancifully dipped, posture perfect as she presented their libations.

Both girls gave a light golf clap, “Nicely done.”
“Impressive.”

“Gee Thanks. If you girls start getting hit on, let me know I can get you into the Mansion Room. It is really nice in there, less pervs and more big spenders. And it’s never full, so I can find you a quiet spot.”

“Sure, sounds great.” Liz nodded.
“We would love to check it out.” Becky was eager to see all of the club.

“Okay I will come back and get you after you finish this round.”

“Oooh do you think there are any celebrities in there?” Liz whispered to Becky

“Who knows this is New York. Oh I am so excited. I am so glad you decided to come on this adventure with me. If Mom could see us now.”

“I know it was always her secret dream to be a Playboy Bunny.” Liz stirred her drink.
“And Lord knows the church would have frowned upon that career choice,” Becky took a big guzzle.

“Let’s take a selfie with Lexi when she comes back, Mom will love it.” Liz pulled her camera out of her evening bag and set it up on the table.
Her older sister Becky was slurping down her drink, “This thing is too good.”
“Jeesh, you act like you never had alcohol before,” Liz laughed.

Truth was, she hadn’t. Rebecca and Elizabeth Simms were two girls out to experience life away from the church. Life in a big city. With permission from their rebellious and somewhat enlightened mother they were given two weeks. To see and experience the world any way and anywhere they wanted. They chose New York City and their adventure was about to begin tonight.
