I had a dream the skies were boiling over

with clouds of bright blue and violet

St. Elmo’s fire without the spark.

And then the Angel’s took you.

All went silent.

All went dark.

They said the end would come,

but I would not allow such a belief…

only hope and sunshine,

never loss, never grief.

Someone precious was stolen

as we struggled to hang on.

And now my only struggle is

the fact that you are gone.

I prayed for light,

I prayed for love…

I prayed for your peace,

In heaven, above.

And now I hear you,

In echoes and whispers…

And now I feel you,

In sunshine and laughter.

And in my heart I know,

You shall live on,

happily ever after.
