Christine was advised by the Uptight Citizens Brigade to take on a stage name, so when she saw Justine La Riene printed on the dressing room door, she was not surprised. Once inside “Justine” noticed a few fellow competitors, Pico the Corsair was taking up all the space with his oversized Pirate head. And Stormy Gale’s Grey Cloud Wig was touching the ceiling.
“Stormy? I thought you were gonna be my Ghost baker?” Christine whispered, sounding both desperate and alarmed.
“Sorry Toots, I thought you bailed for Wheel of Fortune. Dave put me in as a ringer.” Stormy was the Master of Croissants, there was no way to win against her.
“Ugh Dave.” Christine whispered under her breath as the stylists tightened her corset and layered on the red crinoline skirts. The make up artist barked at her to hold still while she applied white powder to her face. Pinned up on the mirror was a sketch of the look they were going for.

“Well you should see me in a crown?” Christine snapped, “Don’t you have anything sparkly? Not sure I like the Jester vibe. I’d prefer a real crown.”
“Diva Alert!!” announced the man in the shadows wearing a camouflage caftan.
“Can’t believe you showed, my money was on Wheel.”
Christine spun her skirts around to face Dave, “Well when I heard The Masked Baker scored the time slot after that new soap, “Memories of Tomorrow” I knew I had to keep the gig.”
“Well, hate to see you fail, have you brushed up on your Croissant skills?” Dave was kind but cruel when he had to be.
“I watched a Sally Bakes video, I think I’m good,” Christine would never admit defeat, especially with all the pumping up from the Uptight Citizens. She could not let the Brigade down now.
“Okay, then.” Dave nodded to the Stylist, “Get her a damn Crown.”

Since this is reality TV and you have a vibrant, grandiose persona, I think Stormy’s croissants might get too salty. She leaves them unattended in the refrigerator, oh well??
