Shhh, the Queen is Sleeping…

Journal Entry November 19, 2015

Today was a perfect day. Amidst the great tragedy (((Paris))) and all of the hate (((Syrians))) I needed hope. I have no hate for countries, races or religions…only individuals who take it upon themselves to instill fear. And so, while worrying about Paris and worrying about refugees, and worrying about a world suddenly filled with hate, anger and contempt; a five year old walked up to my desk in the classroom and asked me, “Is Love spelled LVOE? Or is it LOVE?”

It then occurred to me that the one word I have been asked over and over and over again to spell for Kindergartners is LOVE. All they want to express is love. Humans are not born to hate. Humans are born to love and accept and to be human.

Shhh the Queen is sleeping. Travelling from realm to realm, seeking knowledge, seeking peace. Shhh the Queen is sleeping her veins, roots tangled up in the trees, her heart monitored by the beats of falling rain. Shhh the Queen is sleeping in a Golden Silence awaiting another breath, another life.

And we pray the Angels hear us through our hearts and through our minds,

there is nothing that can stop us, nothing but time…

And when our time is over, it’s not over for good.

Souls carry over, souls carry on…

And the Angels they can hear us, they know who wants to stay.

The Angels may allow us, a few more days.

Days to make a difference, days to shed some light.

Days to stop our crying, and days to win the fight.
