Double Etheree
Ten Words from Tyler: unrequited / wine / words / past / shadow / parallel /genie / lightning / ennui / race

My
past
parallel
unrequited
love…like a shadow,

plaguing me, haunting me

leaving me without words,

or the strength to wonder what

might have been, had it all worked out.

Had I returned to the home that was

meant to be, my warm grey, my green hills,

calling me away from my ennui

and listless boring existence.

Hindsight is never an option,

when racing against yourself.

If only reminders,

did not come at times

when I am weak

and drinking

so much

wine.

If

only

we could get

past the wonder

and finalize these

yearnings to rekindle

that lightning chemistry

and unspoken passionate flame.

Each dream I have of you, things are just

the same…the genie, out of the bottle

and my three wishes made; warm grey, green hills,

and you again looking through to my soul

with eyes hauntingly familiar…

again, again, how many times?

I cannot bare this spiral,

this falling back to time.

When will it be done?

When will I know?

When will you,

please be

mine?
