A Rhyme by Christine Wichman c. October 31, 2013

Three Black Cats in
Little Witch’s Hats
ventured into the blue moonlight.
“Let’s take a walk on the wild side.”
They spied a Vampire with flaming
red hair, in a corset made of leather.
“Hello, my name is Heather.”
“Let’s take a walk on the wild side.”
Crossing a field they met a white wolf,
howling at the moon. They lingered,
there, enjoying his tune.
“Let’s take a walk on the wild side.”
Soon, all four, came to a wooden door.
“Voila“, smiled Heather “This is the place.”
Each cat had a puzzled face.
“Let’s take a walk on the wild side.”
The door creaked open and a bat flew out
inside were candles and cowhide rugs,
black leathersofas, and a cabinet full of jugs.
“Let’s take a walk on the wild side.”
Heather scooped up a jug and poured
each cat a frothy bowl of milk,
then gently, she stroked their fur of silk.
“Let’s take a walk on the wild side.”
Purr. Purr. Purr.
Each cat was in Kitty heaven,
until suddenly the clock struck Eleven!
“Let’s Hurry! Let’s Scurry! It is time to get home.”
With a tip of each hat, the cat’s did scat,
and Heather bid them goodnight.
…And that my friends, is The End before Midnight 😉
